More Evidence the Republican Party Insiders Are Just Corporate Whores

From Nov. 13, 2015 Washington Post:
Less than three months before the kickoff Iowa caucuses, there is growing anxiety bordering on panic among Republican elites about the dominance and durability of Donald Trump and Ben Carson and widespread bewilderment over how to defeat them.

Party leaders and donors fear that nominating either man would have negative ramifications for the GOP ticket up and down the ballot, virtually ensuring a Hillary Rodham Clinton presidency and increasing the odds that the Senate falls into Democratic hands....
Before Tuesday’s debate in Milwaukee, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker had a reception at the Pfister Hotel with party leaders, donors and operatives. There was little appetite for putting a political knife in the back of either Trump or Carson, according to one person there. Rather, attendees simply hoped both outsiders would go away.

There are similar concerns about Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who is gaining steam and is loathed by party elites, but they are more muted, at least for now.
And they are talking about drafting Romney!

Hilary Clinton Lies Up A Storm

Oct. 21, 2015 New York Times reports on:

How the Story of Hillary
Clinton’s Emails Has Changed

Short version, her lies keep changing, no wonder she's going to be the Democratic nominee.

So Glad To See This

The stupidest man to occupy the Vice Presidency that I can remember has decided not to run for President.  From Oct. 21, 2015 Associated Press:
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden will not run for president in 2016, he said Wednesday, ending a months-long flirtation with a third White House campaign and setting him on a glide path toward the end of his decades-long political career.
This pleases me because some polls show him beating all Republicans.

Wages Still Above $2/Hour! Must Stop Trump!

Panicked establishment gets ready for war against Trump

The article goes on to explain the Club for Growth is preparing a scorched Earth campaign against Trump for not being "a real conservative."  To say that I am disappointed by their approach is putting it mildly.  Club for Growth is a fairly libertarian organization, and like many libertarians sees immigration laws as blocking free markets and thus preventing wages from dropping to Latin American levels.  Many libertarians have another motivation for open borders: they think it will lead to the destruction of the welfare state, as millions of workers and their dependents show up and strain the already weak welfare state.  Sorry, that won't work, but it will guarantee the Democrats a perpetual majority of the votes.

Obama Not Learning From History

Are you old enough to remember when Nixon referred to Charles Manson as a murderer while the trial was still underway, and this was reqarded as a really bad thing?  From Oct. 16, 2015 New York Times:
WASHINGTON — Federal agents were still cataloging the classified information from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email server last week when President Obama went on television and played down the matter.
“I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” Mr. Obama said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” He said it was a mistake for Mrs. Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”

Those statements angered F.B.I. agents who have been working for months to determine whether Ms. Clinton’s email setup had in fact put any of the nation’s secrets at risk, according to current and former law enforcement officials.
Investigators have not reached any conclusions about whether the information on the server had been compromised or whether to recommend charges, according to the law enforcement officials. But to investigators, it sounded as if Mr. Obama had already decided the answers to their questions and cleared anyone involved of wrongdoing.

Democratic Party Demonstrating the Truth of Will Rogers' Famous Statement.

"I am not a member of an organized political party. I am a Democrat."  From Oct. 15, 2015 New York Times:
R.T. Rybak, the former mayor of Minneapolis and a vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee, on Thursday accused the party’s leader, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, of making “flat-out not true” statements about another top party officer, questioned her political skills and said he had “serious questions” about her suitability for the job.
What?  This about the idiot who says Republicans want all women to leave the country? This account from Bloomberg Politics says much the same thing with this wonderful, "I hope so" quote:
Of two dozen Democratic insiders with whom I spoke this week, including several DNC vice chairs, not one defended Wasserman Schultz’s treatment of Gabbard. Most called it ridiculous, outrageous, or worse. Many argued, further, that the debate plan enacted by the chairwoman is badly flawed—an assessment shared by many party activists, left-bent supporters of Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley, and those candidates themselves, all of whom see it as a naked effort to aid and comfort Hillary Clinton. And they maintained that the plan was a clear reflection of Wasserman Schultz’s management style, which many of them see as endangering Democratic prospects in 2016 and beyond.

Trump On Gun Carrying

In combination with his campaign's very strongly progun statements, this statement shows great courage against the MSM:
Washington (AFP) - Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump says he sometimes carries a gun to protect himself, after a spate of shootings at colleges ramped up debate about firearms in the United States.

The revelation is likely to spark a backlash from advocates calling for tighter control of guns, after three separate shootings at US universities or colleges this month left 11 people dead.

Asked why years ago he obtained a concealed weapons permit, Trump told the CBS program "Face the Nation": "Because I like to have myself protected."

Host John Dickerson then asked Trump: "Do you carry?"

"Sometimes," replied Trump, whose popularity has surged on the back of a series of bombastic comments on a range of sensitive topics, including immigration and gun control.

Why is Trump  so hated by many progun sorts?  Is it fear that he won't support same-sex marriage and therefore discredit himself with the left?

So GOP Does Stand For Gay Old Party?

DNC Chair Debbie Wassermann-Schultz:
The Republicans are trying to out-right wing each other. Look, between the fifteen Republican candidates who are left — all of whom are trying to out-Trump Donald Trump — by saying, “Yeah let’s kick women. Let’s kick them and immigrants out of this country. Let’s take away health care from women.”

I always wonder: Is Debbie stupid enough to believe this, or does she just hold Democratic voters in such contempt that she thinks they will believe this?

Bend Over America

The Daily Beast reports on the nearly insane devotion that wealthy gay white men are showing for Hilary Clinton, in spite of her astonishingly poor history.
To me, there’s one T-shirt that says all you need to know about Clinton’s gay male base: I’d Bottom for Hillary.

Lying prostrate, face down in the pillow: Is there a better analogy (pun intended) for the gay Hillary Clinton supporter these days?

It's an apt description.  America, bend over, Hilary is wearing her strap-on!
