Louise speaks to author Douglas Glover, to talk about aspects of Savage Love (Goose Lane Editions). Almost every one of the collection's stories are peopled with characters, engrossed in corrosive love triangles and descents into erotic obsession or madness. In one of the most difficult stories, "Savage Love," the protagonist finds himself competing with his friend, as they're both forever drawn to the same female figures. Counterbalanced with the conflicted tones in the collection, are also senses of how even with repeated disturbances, loving relations may endure.
