We also hear from Adam Mocco who tells us about his project Tryst Pic, a portrait project utilizing popular location-based "hookup" apps geared towards gay men, and Pearl Van Geest fills us in on her installation piece Kiss Up, a testament to the power of love as an agent of change whereby individuals can kiss in front of a red-curtained backdrop that will be streamed live to two locations. Dorianne chats with Tom Cho, whose book Look Who’s Morphing was just published in Canada by Arsenal Pulp Press. It explores themes of identity and sexuality through references to, and retellings of, pop culture classics like Dirty Dancing and The Bodyguard. Next she talks to Madeleine Holden, who runs a tumblr called Critique My Dick Pic, where she gives thoughtful, sometimes funny, analysis of penis photos that are submitted. Finally, she reaches Ms. Naughty, a writer and film-maker who makes what she describes as “thinking porn” and “grateful porn.” Her site, Bright Desire features short films and scenes as well as photos, erotic fiction and adult film reviews.

"Im Golden Age of Porn hätte der

Sprung klappen können, die künstliche Trennung zwischen Spielfilm und Porno aufzuheben, die Grenze zu verwischen, zu überwinden. Hollywood spielte mit dem Tabu, beispielsweise mit LAST TANGO IN PARIS, näherte sich also auch dem Porno an. Und die Pornoproduktionen wurden immer professioneller, die Erzählungen immer komplexer. Dann kam VHS und eine Amateurisierungswelle, die den Porno um Jahrzehnte Kunstfertigkeit zurückwarf. ... Jetzt scheint gibt es wieder Filmemachende, die sich daran wagen, wie etwa Lars von Trier mit NYMPHOMANIAC. In Deutschland gab es mit HOTEL DESIRE einen Kurzfilm, der sich ebenfalls wieder etwas dem Porno annäherte, eben dadurch, dieses Tabu zu überwinden, Sex auch zu zeigen."
